Sign up & workspace
Create an account, set up your workspace, and complete verification.
Before you can build a single agent, you need two things: an account (that’s you) and a workspace (that’s your company’s space to work in). Getting both takes about two minutes, and there’s no credit card and no sales call in the way - oyehello is fully self-serve.
This page walks through the whole start-up path: signing in, the short onboarding wizard, the one-time business verification that unlocks live calling, and how you can belong to more than one workspace at a time. None of it is technical, and we’ll flag exactly what you can do straight away versus what waits for verification - so you’re never stuck wondering.
The one thing to know up front: you can start building and previewing agents immediately. Only live phone calls wait for verification, and that usually clears in under a day. So there’s nothing stopping you from diving in right now.
Sign in (there’s no separate “sign up”)
oyehello uses one door for new and returning teams - the same screen signs you up and logs you in. There’s no password to create or remember. When you land on the console sign-in page you get two ways in:
Continue with Google
The fastest option. Click Continue with Google, pick your work Google account, and you’re in. Because Google confirms who you are, there’s nothing else to type - and your name comes across automatically, so your profile is pre-filled.
- Tip: use this if your company runs on Google Workspace. It’s one click and skips the code step entirely.
If you don’t see a Google button, this workspace’s install simply hasn’t turned Google sign-in on - just use the email option below instead.
Email + one-time code
Prefer email? Enter your work email (e.g. [email protected]) and hit Send login code. We email you a 6-digit code; type it into the Enter your login code screen and click Verify and continue.
- The code is single-use and short-lived. If it doesn’t arrive or expires, click Resend code (there’s a short 30-second cooldown so the button won’t spam your inbox).
- There’s no password at all - you get a fresh code each time you sign in. That means one less credential to leak or forget.
- First time on this email? The account is created for you automatically the moment you verify the code. There’s no separate “register” form.
Why a code instead of a password? Passwords get reused, phished, and forgotten. A one-time code proves you control the inbox, which is what actually matters - and it’s less to manage for you and your team.
Optional: two-factor authentication
Once you’re in, you can add an authenticator app (TOTP) for a second layer of security from your account settings. It’s off by default and entirely optional - but if your workspace handles sensitive data, it’s worth turning on. Brand-new accounts never have it enabled, so your very first sign-in is always just the code or Google.
Onboarding: two quick questions
The first time you sign in, you’ll hit a short wizard titled “Set up your workspace.” It’s two steps, and it’s the moment your workspace actually gets created - with you as its owner.
Step 1 - Business
Organization name. The name of your company or team (e.g. Acme Finance). This is more than a label:
- It names your workspace across the console.
- It pre-fills the “Company” field on every new agent you build - so your agents automatically introduce themselves as “calling on behalf of Acme Finance” without you retyping it each time. You can still change it per agent, but a good name here saves you the effort. (See Create an agent.)
Data residency. Where your call data lives. You choose between Default cloud and India (Mumbai). Pick India (Mumbai) if you need your data to stay in-country for regulatory or policy reasons.
Choose residency carefully - it’s permanent. Once you save this step, data residency is locked for the life of the workspace and can’t be changed later. If you’re unsure and you operate in India, India (Mumbai) is the safe pick.
Step 2 - Verify your mobile
Enter your mobile number, tap Send OTP, and type the 6-digit SMS code to finish. This confirms a real person is behind the account and gives us a way to reach you about your calls. Once verified, onboarding is done and you land in the console.
Invited to someone else’s workspace? If a teammate invited you (rather than starting fresh), you skip the Business step entirely and only verify your mobile - the workspace and its company name already exist.
What is a workspace?
A workspace is the container for everything you build and run:
- Your agents (the voice workers)
- Your campaigns and phone numbers
- Your contacts, call history, and outcomes
- Your wallet / billing and your team
Everything is scoped to one workspace. Data from one workspace never leaks into another. Think of it as your company’s private room in the building - your agents, your numbers, your bill, your people.
The person who completes onboarding becomes the workspace owner (full control, including billing). You can then invite teammates and give them roles - see Workspace & team for how roles and permissions work.
Your signup credit
Every brand-new workspace is topped up with a one-time free wallet credit the moment it’s created - so you can run a test drive and get a feel for the platform before you ever put money in.
- Why: so you can try before you pay. No card required to get started.
- How much: the exact amount is shown on the pricing page and in your Billing screen (it’s applied automatically - you don’t have to claim anything).
- It’s a one-time grant per workspace, not a recurring credit. When it runs low, top up your wallet in Billing & wallet.
Verification (KYB): what unlocks live calling
Here’s the one gate between you and live phone calls. Because oyehello places real calls over the Indian telecom network, the law requires us to know which business is behind those calls. So live outbound dialing is held behind a one-time check called KYB - “Know Your Business.”
Don’t let the acronym worry you. It’s a short form, it’s a normal part of buying any calling service in India, and it usually clears in under a day.
What you can do before you’re verified
Plenty - verification doesn’t block you from building or previewing. Straight after onboarding you can:
- Build and edit agents - the full agent and flow builders are open. (See Create an agent.)
- Test Drive an agent - a live, in-browser voice preview. You literally talk to your agent through your computer’s mic and speakers to hear how it sounds, right from the builder. It’s free and instant. (See Test your agent.)
So you can design, tune, and hear your agent completely before verification finishes.
What waits until you’re verified
- Placing real phone calls - including the “Test Call to my own phone” feature. Real dialing (to any number) is KYB-gated, so a test call to your own mobile also waits for approval.
- Running campaigns - outbound campaigns won’t dial until KYB is verified; the engine simply skips unverified workspaces.
In short: browser preview (Test Drive) works now; phone calls (test calls and campaigns) unlock after KYB. Build everything today, go live the moment you’re approved.
How to get verified
You’ll see a banner at the top of the console - “Verify your business to start calling” - with a Verify KYB button. (Owners and admins see it.) Click it and fill in the “Verify your business” dialog:
- Legal business name (pre-filled from your organization name - edit if your registered name differs)
- GSTIN, PAN, and CIN or Udyam number
- Registered business address
- Supporting documents - upload as PDF/JPG/PNG (up to 10 MB each). They’re encrypted at rest.
Submit, and your status moves to “under review.” Once our team approves it, the banner disappears and live calling switches on automatically - no further action from you.
Why we ask for GSTIN/PAN/CIN: these are the standard Indian business identifiers telecom providers require to attribute calls to a real, registered company. It’s the same paperwork any calling vendor would need - we just make it a two-minute form instead of an email thread.
Note: KYB verifies your business. Buying and using phone numbers has its own telecom compliance step on top - both need to clear before campaigns dial. See Compliance and Phone numbers.
Belonging to more than one workspace
One email can belong to several workspaces at once. This is normal - you might own your own company’s workspace and be invited into a client’s or partner’s workspace, all under the same login.
- How you join others: someone with admin rights in another workspace invites your email. When you accept, that workspace appears in your account alongside your own. (There’s no “create another workspace” button inside the console - additional workspaces come from your own onboarding or from invites.)
- Your role can differ per workspace: you might be the Owner of one and a Member of another. Each workspace controls what you can do there independently.
Switching between them
At the top of the sidebar you’ll find the workspace switcher - a dropdown showing your current workspace’s name and your role in it (Owner / Admin / Member). Open it to see every workspace you belong to, with the active one checkmarked.
Pick another one and the entire console re-scopes to it: agents, contacts, campaigns, numbers, billing - everything you see now belongs to the workspace you switched into. Your session updates behind the scenes and drops you on that workspace’s overview.
Tip: always glance at the switcher before you build or launch something. It’s the difference between a campaign going out from your workspace and from a client’s - an easy thing to get right once you’re in the habit of checking.
Next: Dashboard tour → - get your bearings in the console: where your agents, calls, and campaigns live, and what every panel on the home screen is telling you.
