COD order confirmation calls, handled by an AI agent

Before a cash-on-delivery parcel leaves your warehouse, an AI agent calls the buyer. It checks they really placed the order, re-checks the delivery address and asks if they still want it. You ship only the orders that are confirmed.

The problem

Why COD verification matters

Cash-on-delivery orders are easy to place and easy to refuse. Some are placed by mistake, some with a wrong address, and some by people who change their mind before the parcel arrives.

Every refused parcel travels back to you (return to origin, or RTO). You pay shipping both ways and the stock is stuck in transit. Calling every COD order by hand takes a team, and those calls are hard to do at night or at weekends when orders pile up.

COD verification automation means a short call goes out for each order, at the right time, and the answer is written down for you.

How it works

How the AI agent confirms a COD order

Start from the ready-made agent template, then change any step in the visual flow builder. Test it by typing, by talking in your browser, or with a real call to your own phone before you publish.

  1. The order reaches OyeHello

Send each new COD order from your store with the REST API, a webhook data stream, Zapier or Make. Or upload a CSV of the day's orders as a campaign.

  2. The agent calls the buyer

It greets them by name and reads out the order number and amount, so they know exactly which order the call is about.

  3. It confirms the order is real

It asks whether they placed the order. If they say no, or want to cancel, it accepts that politely and never argues.

  4. It re-checks the address

It reads the delivery address on file and asks if it is correct and current. Any correction is written down.

  5. It confirms they still want it

It asks if they still want the order, and reminds them that payment is collected at the door. It never asks for card, UPI or OTP details.

  6. The result lands on your board

Each call is tagged with an outcome and the answers are saved as clean fields. Confirmed orders can go to your system by webhook; cancelled ones stay out of the shipping run.

Call + WhatsApp

Call first, then a WhatsApp follow-up

Calls and WhatsApp work together. During the call the agent can send an approved WhatsApp template, such as the order summary. After the call, your outcome board can send a WhatsApp on its own.

WhatsApp on OyeHello →
  1. Send the order details on WhatsApp while the buyer is still on the line
  2. If nobody picks up, a column on your board can send a WhatsApp follow-up hours later, cancelled automatically if they reply
  3. If the buyer replies on WhatsApp, a WhatsApp AI agent can carry on the conversation with the call's context
Integrations

What you connect

See all integrations →

Shopify

Connect your store in a few clicks. The agent can look up an order's status during the call and note the outcome on the Shopify customer's profile.

REST API and webhooks

Place a call for each new order from your own backend, and get signed webhooks back with the outcome and answers.

Data streams

Feed orders in from a webhook, Zapier, Make or a Google Sheet, and each one is called as it arrives.

CSV upload

Upload a list of orders, map the columns to the agent's placeholders and run it as a campaign.

Google Sheets

Log every confirmation as a row in a sheet your team already uses.

Slack

Post call outcomes to a channel so the warehouse team sees cancellations straight away.

Compliance

Calling rules are checked before every dial

Your calling rules are checked before every number is dialled, not after. Consent and opt-outs are kept in a tamper-evident record you can export.

Security and compliance →
  • The agent never asks for card, UPI, OTP or bank details on a COD call
  • A cancellation is accepted politely, with no pressure to keep the order
  • Numbers on India's DND register, your do-not-call list or opted out are never dialled
  • Calls only go out within the pack’s calling hours: 10am to 9pm IST on the India pack, TRAI’s default for promotional calls
  • Frequency caps limit how often one person is called and the gap between calls
  • Block calling on holidays and festival dates you choose
  • "Don't call me" is recorded and blocks that number across your workspace
  • Optional opening line that says it is an AI assistant, in the caller's language
  • Every skipped call shows which rule stopped it
Languages

Confirm orders in your buyer's language

Pick a language for the agent and it speaks it for the whole call. It only switches when the buyer clearly asks, for example "Hindi mein baat karo". Names from your order list are written in the agent's script so they are pronounced properly.
